Pre-production for my next audiobook, Wings of Thunder (Book 2 in The Thunderbird Legacy) by Erin Keyser Horn is over! Recording has officially begun!

Care for a synopsis of Wings of Thunder?:

“I can’t love. To love is to kill. I don’t love him. I don’t.”

If she were a normal fifteen-year-old girl, Ivy Nimiki would only be worried about getting her driver’s license, arguing with her dad, and finding time to spend with her friends. She wouldn’t be losing sleep over her sudden lack of storm control, the inevitable curse that will claim the life of the boy she loves, and her nightmares of the Great Horned Serpent. Ivy never has been, and never will be, normal. It’s up to her to find an amulet to defeat the Serpent and end the curse. But how can she do that when the Thunderbird has disappeared? She needs the strong wings of thunder, plus the three newest members of the clan. Gabe’s touch affects her like no other’s, Cal’s heart keeps time with hers, and Dan’s soul holds her together. When falling in love, do you listen to your body, heart, or soul?

Side note: Isn’t Rod Karmenzind‘s cover design amazing? Yes. The answer is yes.

This series gives me so many chances to play with different emotions and ranges. Erin made sure to tell me that things are going to be a bit emotional. Now that I’ve read it… Emotional is putting it lightly. Don’t worry, I’m not gonna give anything away. Let’s just say there’s a lot of booth-cry potential. Never been so happy to engineer myself. Seriously, I might require some comfort food after certain sessions.

I know, I know, biased opinion and all that other hoopla, but I am such of fan of these books! I love Erin’s writing.  And, yeah, it doesn’t hurt that I strongly identify with Ivy. She’s full of sarcasm, wit, and sass… Miss Nimiki is my kind of character.

Along with being crazy excited, I’m a bundle of nerves… Gonna take that as a good sign.

Enough with the writing, time to lock myself in a small room and hit Spacebar and 3 for a couple hours. Wish me luck, ladies and jellyspoons!

I cried in this book. And that last chapter by Gabe left me breathless. I LOVE it! And I can’t wait to hear what you create. 🙂
